EXILES IN NEW YORK
CAST & CREW:
SYNOPSIS: Highly acclaimed playwright and head of Columbia's Graduate Dramatic Writing Program, Eduardo Machado chose me to art direct his first feature film, Exiles in NY. It was my first feature experience and we shot on 16mm in NYC using as much location color as we could find. Setting the action during Halloween helped and so did the super talented cast which included Philip Courtney, Jose De Guzman, Joe Quintero, Elzbeth Czyzewska, Vanessa Aspillago, Jim Simpson among many. The final film played many international film festivals, including Berlin and The Cuban Internation FF, great domestic festivals, including SXSW, and eventually found distribution.
